Tracy Marquis, a Project Architect at Design Collective, was recently named 2009 Volunteer of the Year by the Maryland Chapter of the United States Green Building Council (USGBC) for supporting and advancing the Chapter’s mission for sustainability and awareness.
Tracy has been a member of the USGBC since 2008. Her active participation in the Chapter’s Programs Committee has yielded many successful events promoting sustainable design innovation, environmental responsibility and awareness including green roof events, tours of green buildings and roundtable discussions.
Rich Burns, AIA, a Founding Partner of Design Collective said “Tracy’s energy and enthusiasm has truly inspired our firm and encouraged others to take a leadership role for positive environmental change. She is a champion of sustainable thinking both in and out of the office and we are very proud of her achievement.”
Tracy is being honored at the USGBC Maryland Chapter’s 5th Annual Awards Celebration on Thursday, January 28, 2010 at The Athenaeum on Goucher College campus at 1021 Dulaney Valley Road, Baltimore, MD 21204, from 6:00 to 9:00 PM.
