In an effort to continue to support community growth and development in the Baltimore area, Design Collective has made a 10 year, $150,000 commitment to sponsor the Neighborhood Design Center (NDC).

This year Design Collective was the event sponsor for NDC’s 2007 Gala, “GREENDC”, held November 1 at the American Visionary Art Museum. This year’s gala raised almost $40,000 in support of NDC and their mission to provide planning and design services to residents and non-profit organizations in Baltimore City and Prince George’s County. The money raised this year will be particularly used in support of a new NDC initiative, GREENDC. GREENDC will help communities become more livable and economically viable through the use of sustainable design practices.

Rich Burns, AIA, a principal at Design Collective, was also recently elected to the Board of Directors of the Neighborhood Design Center. In this new role, he will work with the executive staff and oversee policy development and fiscal management to ensure the organization’s success.
